About Ask Two Questions

Why Ask Two Questions exists, who its practice materials serve and the limits of its fictional exercises.

The Last Hire · fictional story

The story behind the practice

In The Last Hire, Ollie is the last human hire at an AI-first company. Margo sets the deadline, Casey brings the impossible request, and Dana is the mentor. The AI coworker says it is done; Ollie asks what that means.

A small place to rehearse working decisions

Ask Two Questions creates practical exercises for people whose work depends on other people: employees, independent professionals and people moving between multiple roles. The common problem is a decision with incomplete information, limited time or unclear ownership.

Our starting question is concrete: what needs to be true for this promise to be workable? We use constrained fictional cases so a reader can see which facts support a choice and which assumptions still need checking.

What you can use today

The free practice page has 8 playable solo cases, starting with Fixed Deadline, Scope Swap and Credit Repair. Guides explain a specific decision. Templates help you record the question, trade-off or handoff. The resource library includes three silent visual case studies and printable practice materials.

The current two-role activity is manual: participants read separate briefs and exchange information in person or using their own communication channel. The website does not connect participants or store their conversations.

What we have not established

These materials have not been validated as a training intervention. There are no claimed client results, accredited credentials, personality assessments or guaranteed workplace outcomes. Examples are authored fiction rather than disguised customer stories.

Membership and facilitator products are being explored. No membership checkout or physical-product order is available on this site. Use the free material to decide whether the approach is useful.
