Q, the yellow two-question guide, waving hello.

The summary swaps the speakers

An interview summary can give the candidate credit for the interviewer’s answer. Otto condenses a fictional technical discussion into achievement bullets. Casey likes the explanation of a difficult tradeoff. Ollie checks the notes and finds that the interviewer supplied the solution; the candidate had only repeated the final sentence.

Why it looked good

The summary preserves a strong answer but loses who supplied it. It looks like evidence of reasoning that the interview did not establish.

Q1 · What is this really for?

What reasoning did the candidate demonstrate themselves during the discussion?

Q2 · Who decides, and did they?

Who validates the interview evidence, and have they checked the summary against the original notes?

The next move

Ollie corrects the attribution and asks the interviewer to separate observed reasoning from prompts they provided before Casey reviews the score.
