One more page: a branching scenario
Tomas asks you to add a comparison page to a delivery whose five hours are already allocated. Choose what to say, ask for the missing half, and see where each path ends. Three ways in, six endings.
Fictional practice case: Scope Swap. Tomas is fictional, Morgan (who owns the scope) is only mentioned, and Otto is a fictional AI writing assistant. Your choices stay on this page and are not saved or sent anywhere. After an ending where you asked something, “Try again with what you now know” keeps the answers you asked for in a list at the top, labeled as learned earlier, and starts a fresh run.
Numbers and quotes come from the free Scope Swap case: 5 hours remain, data section 2h, recommendations section 2h, handoff 1h, added request 2h. Each ending can skip ahead to the end of the five hours, the only measure of time the case gives; that part uses only the case's arithmetic, its own listed plausible consequences and what was said on your path, and says what the case does not give. A change to the scope stays a proposal until the person who owns the scope confirms it.
About this practice

- Teaches: Keep the agreed package: ask who owns the scope and when the extra page is needed, then name what is still open.
- Does not claim: A fictional case, and Otto is a fictional AI. One run is not a verdict, and no outcome is measured.
- For: Anyone asked to add work to a delivery whose hours are already allocated.

Where to go next
- Next case: The brief the client's AI rewrote. Another change to the plan, but this time it comes from a document the client's AI tool rewrote, so you practice asking where a change came from.
- Guide: What to prepare before a meeting where something has to be decided. A short, plain read on writing down the decision, its owner and the two questions to bring, with this same case worked out, so read it after you have played.
- Tool: Decision-rights sheet. For each decision, write who decides, who is consulted and who does the work, so the owner of the scope has a place on the page.
Ask the questions yourself.
Play the same case as a solo game: ask Tomas or Otto, reveal the missing facts and write your next-step card.
